Intelligent Safe Electrical System

Led by CHENNUO ELECTRIC, along with postdoctoral researchers from Harbin Institute of Technology and the Chinese People's Liberation Army in electrical automation, this team, together with experts from the electrical industry, has developed and continuously improved a new active smart electrical safety system over several years. This system is primarily aimed at effectively preventing and protecting against accidents caused by electrical fires and electrical shocks due to aging electrical lines and insulation failures in low-voltage power supply networks.

No injury: When a person accidentally touches a wire at the output terminal of the device with one hand, the current flowing through the body is less than the specified safe current of 10 mA (the factory setting is <1 mA; this value may vary with line conditions and different load characteristics after connecting the circuit and load). This allows the person to quickly disengage from the power source, preventing injuries.

No fire: When the insulation of the power supply line and load devices controlled by the equipment is damaged, causing a metallic grounding short circuit, the system can effectively suppress arcing sparks and avoid electrical fire incidents.

No leakage: If any phase of the output line of the device experiences insulation damage and forms a grounding short circuit, it will not result in leakage current, thus preventing power outages in the grid and ensuring continuous, safe, and reliable power supply.

Real-time monitoring: When there is insulation damage and a short circuit to the ground line on the output line or load, the device can monitor the insulation resistance value in real time, ensuring continuous power supply and triggering an alarm based on preset values.

Multiple protections: The device features overload, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheating, leakage, and short circuit protection. If the measured values of the above parameters exceed the set thresholds, the device will provide corresponding alarm notifications and disconnect the power output to protect the circuit.

Working Principle: The system uses a special switching device to electrically dampen the output lines with the mains electricity lines, incorporating insulation monitoring circuits, electrical monitoring circuits, and more. Combined with the IT distribution method, this prevents the formation of an electrical circuit during a short circuit between the line and ground or when a person touches the line, avoiding the risk of arcing sparks. Additionally, the current from the human body to ground is controlled to stay within safe limits, preventing harm to individuals.

System Composition: This safety power supply solution integrates advanced microelectronic technology, power electronics technology, measurement and control technology, signal processing technology, Internet of Things (IoT) information technology, and cloud computing technology.


System Functions:Stability: Harmonic control, stable voltage output, and protection for application devices. Monitoring: Online monitoring of insulation resistance, voltage, current, temperature, and other operational states. Alarm: Alarms for protective functions and abnormal operations (without tripping). Query: Historical records of electricity usage curves (operation records, fault records). Communication: Enables remote monitoring and control via mobile and PC platforms.
